Examination, in a quiet moment
“Hell is not fury.” Stone paused, looking around the cavernous hall, a holy place devoid of life. “It's sorrow.”
“We grieve the choices we should have made.” The priest agreed, tears falling from his eyes.
“It's ironic isn't it- the thing that enables us to learn our own truth and morality is the part of us we choose to wear like shackles.” Stone almost sounded amused.
“How do you live with it day to day?” The priest asked.
“Acceptance is widely misunderstood. It isn't about nullifying the pain, it's about how we acknowledge the broken parts of ourselves. Forgiveness is the kindest thing we will ever do for ourselves. After all, stained glass is quite beautiful... isn't it.”
We live in a society that's taught itself the bizarre fear-centric arrogance. “You are more than enough” is a lie; we are not meant to be everything in our own lives. We were built to rely on each other . Its the vast distance imposed between us that is destroying us.
